Op shop profits go towards local St John Youth programmes, purchasing new Ambulances and Health Shuttles, and buying vital new equipment; allowing St John to continue its life-saving and life-changing work.
 
As a Volunteer Opportunity Shop Manager you will be responsible for staff rostering, overseeing stock, price setting, managing the shop revenue and monthly reporting and forecasting. Our managers ensure the operation and performance of the shop through effective administration and Volunteer management. The promotion and marketing of the shop locally is also a key responsibility in this role.
 
We are looking for a highly motivated and outgoing individual to join our team. You will have a “can do” attitude, excellent people skills and the ability to manage administrative tasks with ease. The ideal candidate will have experience in small business and people management but above all a community focus and the motivation to build the stores profile in the area.
 
Do you have?
  • Previous experience in motivating and managing Volunteers
  • Experience in retail and/or small business management
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • A strong customer focus and a can do attitude?
 
All successful applicants will undergo an interview, Police Check and Credit Check. In return, you will receive training and ongoing support, and Membership of St John (which gives free ambulance service for immediate family).
