Senior Analyst

Applications are invited for a full-time, fixed-term position as a Senior Analyst/Analyst in the national Environmental Health Indicators Programme at the Centre for Public Health Research, Massey University, Wellington Campus.

You will be working in a team of nine professional staff monitoring the impact of the environment and hazardous substances on the health of New Zealand. Your work will include leading specific domains of environmental health indicators depending on experience and expertise, multivariate analysis of environmental and health-related data sets, producing information for the public and stakeholders, and preparing ad-hoc reports on special topics. There will be opportunities for further study.

You should have a relevant postgraduate tertiary qualification. Knowledge and experience in public health, epidemiology, statistics, environmental science and/or Māori health is important. Experience with Excel is essential and experience with SAS and statistical modelling are desirable. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.The initial appointment would be for 12-months, with the possibility of an extension for a further two years.

The salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
