Opportunity for an experienced, professional, customer focused individual to join our First Aid training team on a casual basis.
 
First aid is at the heart of St John. Everybody should have some level of first aid ability, because accidents and medical emergencies can happen anywhere at any time. St John First Aid courses give participants the knowledge and confidence to provide effective first aid whenever it’s needed.
 
As a Fist Aid Tutor, you will deliver St John First Aid courses within workplaces, to our key customers, and to the general public. You will need to be flexible with your availability as we provide training Monday to Sunday, including some weekend and evening work. This role involves delivery of courses over a wide geographical area, so you will need to be prepared to travel and be comfortable driving a long wheel based vehicle.
 
Ideally you will have a clinical background and have some Adult Education experience. We are looking for confident professionals, with a passion for delivery of high quality training in a way that engages, and delivers great results for, our customers.
 
The successful applicant will have:
 
·         Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
·         Experience and qualifications within the education/training field
·         Current / recent operational experience in an emergency service
·         Unit standard 4098 or equivalent qualifications or experience (desirable)
·         Self-motivation and positive attitude with the ability to motivate others
·         Proven organisational and planning skills
·         A current full NZ driver licence
