An opportunity has now come up for an experienced administrator to join the St John team in Nelson on a casual basis.

You'll operate as a key member of the team providing efficient administrative support to the District Operations Manager and Territory Managers which is vital to the overall day to day operation of the organisation. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • General administrative tasks - arranging travel, supplies management, word processing, phones, emails and paper and electronic filing.
  • Financial assistance - receive and code invoices and operate our electronic purchase order system.
  • Organising meetings, agendas, and presentations. 
  • Minute taking
  • Actively contributing and promoting health and safety practices.
  • Be flexible, willing to learn and adapt as the situations and priorities change.
  • Contributing proactively as a member of the team.
  • Compile, format and forward monthly reports.
  • Produce draft documents and letters as required.
  • Prioritise workload to ensure efficiency

To be successful you will need to:

  • have strong organisation skills and excellent attention to detail,
  • have had experience working with the MS Office suite,
  • have a high level of professionalism and a 'can-do' attitude,
  • have excellent communication skills, and
  • have a genuine desire to help others.

As this is a casual role, flexibility is a must, allowing you to work as and when required sometimes at short notice.
