Opportunity to join the St John First Aid Training team in Hamilton as a casual Tutor. 
First aid is at the heart of St John. Everybody should have some level of first aid ability, because accidents and medical emergencies can happen anywhere at any time. St John First Aid courses give participants the knowledge and confidence to provide effective first aid whenever it's needed. 
As a Fist Aid Tutor you will deliver St John First Aid courses within workplaces, to our key customers, and to the general public. 
Ideally you will have some Adult Education experience and qualifications along with a clinical background, you will be genuinely passionate about First Aid and enjoy teaching adults. We are looking for confident professionals, with a passion for the delivery of high quality training in a way that engages, and delivers great results for our customers. 
The successful applicant will have: 
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Experience and qualifications within the education/training field
  • Current / recent operational experience in an emergency service (desirable)
  • Unit standard 4098 or equivalent qualifications or experience (desirable)
  • Self-motivation and positive attitude with the ability to motivate others
  • Proven organisational and planning skills
  • A current full NZ driver licence 
This role involves delivery of courses over a wide geographical area so you will need to be comfortable travelling across the wider Waikato region and ideally be able to drive a long wheel based vehicle. 
As we provide training Monday to Sunday, including some weekends and evenings, you will need to be flexible with your availability.
